MRI: The latest addition to our radiology department and a gift to the people of Haryana and surrounding area is Haryana’s 1st supercon 1.5 T MRI (Philips Achieva 16 Channel MRI). This machine has the latest high-tech application including Multivoxel Spectroscopy, Whole Body Diffusion Weighted Images (DWI), Cartilage Mapping, Breast Mammography, Spectroscopy and many others. Beside the advantages of unparalleled and ultra fast images, it takes exquisite images of not only the structures in the body but also the metabolic functions of body parts. It takes dynamic high resolution images of the

Brain, Abdomen, Breast, Pelvis, Peripheral Circulation and Nerves without radiation exposure. It helps in the accurate diagnosis of stroke in evolution, aneurysms, cardiac problems, extent staging of prostate, Cervical, Head & Neck, breast and rectal cancer, spinal cord diseases, bone, joint and cartilage diseases; and is the best tool to delineate subtle sports injuries, renal artery stenosis without intravenous contrast as well.

CT Scan

The Phillips Access 16 Slice CT Scan has been installed by our department. It is equipped with the latest and most advanced software for performing all advanced studies. Intra-cranial and Peripheral Angiography can be done in just 2 minutes. Other applications include CECT brain, 3D Facial Skeleton, HRCT Temporal Bone of Skull, Spine, Abdomen and Chest. CT Bronchoscopy and Colonoscopy give excellent inside pictures. The department is a referral center for investigations like CT guided interventional and biopsy procedures. All multiphasic scans are being done like triple phase for Liver, CT urography and Dual phase for pancreas.

4D USG And 4D Color Doppler:
There are two color Dopplers. The most advanced 4-D Color Doppler voluson S-8 and voluson S-10 from G.E. These machines are the pride of our institution, with clear advantages and features that smoothens the entire diagnostic process for our patients. Both USG Machines Logiq S-8 and Volusion S-10 have 4D convex, Volume. TVS and linear traducers. The 4D USG offers a much better image in the field of obstetrics especially in detecting congenital anomalies of the fetus. The department routinely performs Abdominal Ultrasonography, Antenatal Sonography for abnormalities in developing babies, ovulation monitoring, paediatric and neonatal sonography, sonomammographies, musculoskeletal sonography, transvaginal and transrectal sonography of small parts such as thyroid, parathyroid and scrotum. Doppler sonography for abdomen, pregnancy, carotid and peripheral vascular diseases and impotency are performed routinely.

A number of invasive procedures (Aspiration of liver abscess, Guided peoples and FNAC) under sonographic guidance are carried out. We routinely do USG guided transrectral prostatic biopsy & transvaginal biopsies. We do USG guided pigtail placements for liver abscess, pleural effusion, abscesses and pancreatic collections. USG guided PICC line placements is being done for chemotherapy patients.

Intervention radiology offers comprehensive services like Endovenous Laser Ablation & sclerotherapy for varicose patient, RFA for HCC (Liver tumor) & Osteoid Osteoma (type of bone tumor). Vascular intervention like TACE, TJLB, stenting for mesenteric ischemia, renal artery stenosis and embolisation procedures like uterine artery and bronchial artery embolisation are being performed.
